How can Hypnosis help Obesity in Children, Teens and Adults?By Doreen Cohanim
The psychological and social effects play a role both known as cause and effect of overweight and obesity. Often the cause/effect relationship creates a never-ending cycle of psychological distress. Food affects moods in both ways, in biological and environmental. Habitual overeating can be a response to notably stress. Guilt and out-of-control feelings commonly associated with overeating lead to a reduced feeling of stress, shame and guilt. Being overweight cannot only lead to cardiovascular, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, respiratory, hormonal, neurological, and metabolic diseases such as diabetes and diabetes type 2. But can also manifests it self through psychological difficulties, which may require the assistance of a trained professional. Many children and adults have an increased rate of depression, low self-esteem, social isolation, low energy that manifest in significant behavioral problems. These communities grow up with a lower rate of college acceptance, getting married and often getting into financial frustration which all this can lead to serious medical illness or even suicide attempts. This is where hypnotherapy fits in. Hypnosis is about using all of your senses that are gathered up in your mind and have been suppressed due to receiving negative messages; my mission is to awaken your mind, which is the master of all. There for when you awaken those senses, such as feelings, hearings, seeing, smelling, tasting, touching and speaking in an appropriate way to a full wakening, you will not only feel awaken, you will start enjoying your life. A trained hypnotherapist will work with a child or an adult on their behavior using cognitive therapy as well as hypnosis. Hypnosis can assist by changing the old negative behavior and help you maintain a new habit so you can improve your self-esteem as well as physical appearance and health; it can simply be done when behavior therapy combined with a healthy eating and exercise approach. This combined intervention results in a greater weight reduction. Each client is different and therefore therapy will be designed on an individual basis. Some will need cognitive therapy followed with hypnosis; some will only need guided imagery during hypnosis and or even Inner child work. The end result is weight loss and an attractive appearance, feeling healthy gaining positive self- esteem to keep the weight off forever.
Benefit of Hypnotherapy
How Do I know if I am overweight?
What can I do to keep healthy? * Ask your doctor or your nutritionist to teach you about the good food such as fiber, fruit, vegetable grains and water. * Have three healthy meals a day and eat healthy snacks such as, apple, pears and carrot sticks between meals. Keep in mind that you don’t need to clean your plate or finish your drink. * Family fun time can be a family fitness time, play basketball, kick the ball, run around the block, take your bicycle for a ride, go for a walk, put on the music and start shaking your body, dance like a star. * Have a healthy desert, such as berries, melons, by following this simple advice you are teaching your children and yourself to value healthy food. * Start a supervised fitness program.
Tip for health benefit: If you know anyone who is suffering in some of the ways described above, you may want to consider or suggest a residential weight-loss program combined with hypnotherapy. I have developed a successful program with one of the top personal fitness trainer in Los Angeles. An in home fitness program for children, teen and adults; that is a combination of hypnotherapy, psychological therapy for behavior change to improve self-esteem and a customized fitness program.
